TRAIN STATION
Project Overview:
This studio project focused on the
design of a new train station along
the Italian coast line in Recco. The
design idea came from the train bridge
that runs across the town. Using the
same form as the bridge, I wanted
to use the same pattern to transition
between the bridge and train station.
The site is located in a congested area of
the city where there is a lot of traffic and
movement from pedestrians. The site
itself is quite complex with the changes in
elevation and slight curvature. We had to
keep the existing train station and build
around it since it is a historical building.
