The Ducks was one of my first NFT projects,  I got the inspiration from the most known at that time NFT collection and tried to imagine how would the apes look if they were ducks.

I wanted to achieve the same "tired of life" and cynical look in the eyes, saved the proportions of the big nostrils which looked a bit wrong for a duck's beak but gave the character the individuality and visual reference to apes. I also wanted them edgy and sharp, so the character wouldn't have a cute and soft personality, so I added more sharp corners and lines to the head and the beak.

The Project got very successful and got into top 3 rating at Opensea platform right on the next day after the release. It gathered a large enthusiastic community around the art, grew into fanart, merch and even was exposed in a metaverse art gallery.
