Monument "Courage"

Monument "Courage"
he memorial is dedicated to the events of the Great Patriotic War, when a relatively small garrison of Soviet soldiers and commanders of the fortress on June 22, 1941 took the first strikes of German troops and for more than a month held the defense in complete encirclement.
The Courage Monument is a concrete figure of a warrior against the background of a banner. On the reverse side there are relief compositions on the theme of the defense of the fortress: Attack, Party meeting, The last grenade, The feat of the artillerymen, Machine gunners.
A loud scandal recently happened with this monuments, which you most likely heard about, because this topic was discussed on all news channels. The American television channel CNN posted on its website a rating of the ugliest monuments in the world. The authors also included the “Courage” monument in it. I absolutely disagree with that.
I think this is a wonderful work that evokes the necessary emotions and demonstrates the courageous spirit of a Soviet soldier. All peace and hello to the Belarusian brothers!)
