Bleak not Dull
Pt.2/2
Conditions worsen as we trundle on !! However this image lends a purpose irrelevant to the mist, note the shape of the vineyard is cut off by the edge of the photograph which can be continued in your imagination, This is called extrapolation which is supported by our knowledge of a subject or shape (circle or triangle) even though the picture shows only a part. In a pictorial composition this is the furthermost limit that can be achieved inside the viewers mind outside the picture area.
Stepping down a few feet to the right a change of perspective.
Any variety of shape can be a spot. The barn in the medial section is the dominant spot which has no inclination to moveThis composition finds stability through the verticals of the rows and several higher visual horizontals. Mostly all lines are opaque resulting in a restful and balanced composition, albeit bleak, but not dull!!  P.S.  the top half section is where you'll find the Napa Valley river  and out of sight Marina.

Here we have several opaque leading lines and a dominant spot. When omitting the horizon the eye is free to explore entirely on detail. The vineyard is partly detail but not the focus. f/32.
Placing the horizon high in the upper section gives the impression of heaviness, with some detail observed elsewhere. f/32
Let's stroll down to the furthest tall tree and take our last shot.
Thanks for viewing!!
