*The 4-layer sandwiched piece was then re-stacked twise to create a piece(right) that contains 16 layer.
* The patterns were hammered from the back (a bowl of pitch was warmed-up and put on back of the metal sheet to allow hammered patterns to extrude from the other side). The unhammered side (right) of the matel then became "embossed", and by filing down all the convex elements, I was able to reveal the cross-section of 16 layers of metal through intriguing geometery.
*The color of the patterns became darkened and permanent when treated with patina.
