This ongoing photography project is my personal exploration of consumerism. Shopping and interaction with consumerist images has and continues to be a considerable interest and part of my life, but I question my involvement in it and the forces acting on me. I'm interested in how stores display their products and advertisements in order to generate need and desire in their customers. I am exploring the illusion of choice, sameness, and absurdity present throughout the consumerist world. As I continue this work I hope to reveal the contradictions between the fascination, loyalty, and aversion I feel to this major force in my life.
