AFTER
This is my first attempt at senior portrait photography.  I used a Nikon D3200 with 18-55mm Nikon lens.  Adobe Photoshop CS6.

BEFORE
Obviously, I had some things to learn when taking senior portrait photography. Number one being learning how to communicate effectively to get the right pose. It is difficult to get that "just right" look for the normal client, much less your younger sister.  I was distracted trying to communicate, and overlooked obvious problems, like a pony tail holder around her wrist.

The overall shot was not too bad, but the natural lighting was gray, due to the weather, so I had to warm it up a bit to keep her from appearing washed out.  I used the blur tool  to adjust some of the background.  The clone tool came in handy to get rid of the pesky hair holder, and I used the dodge tool to brighten her eyes and teeth.  I used the burn tool to help accentuate her lashes and eyes.  She had a fever blister beginning to appear on her upper lip, which was healed by the cloning tool.

All in all, I was pretty happy with my first attempt.  I didn't have to do too much in post and with this experience, I believe it will get easier.
