Golden statue of Tehnar, who lived before the reign of Voldrion in the kingdom of Lighthold, shows a tall figure of a well-shaped warrior. He was a quick learner; no challenge would have caused great impediment thus he immediately advanced in the ranks of the holy army. Everyone looked up to him, occasionally feeding his ego. So stupid were their cheerful voices and applauds as the holy army ventured in their first crusade…

Tehnar barely reached the grounds of the accursed. His spear was the first to lunge at the hearts of the deformed savages. There was not a single moment when he feared their claws or their sharp teeth for he carried the hopes of the kingdom. Unfortunately, this is what blinded him. Such a well gifted being could not have known what lied in the minds of those who failed or struggled to join the holy army nor the fear that Xylas felt as his commanding position was in peril. The holy army stood and watched as Tehnar was swiftly outnumbered. Butchered, torn to pieces, eaten alive…

The cursed took this gesture as a gift and left their guard down, thinking they received grace from the Lord. Death was their ultimate grace.

Silver statue of Myssa, the most beautiful woman of Lighthold, stands next to Tehnar. Her shapes are gently touched by the light of the lone brazier that stands at the end of the Gallery. I stood for hours looking at her just as all the men of Lighthold did while she was filling their hearts with songs. Only the sight of her would have made them kneel in veneration.

In her innocence she thought that they all deserved what they wanted, but when she dedicated herself to the first, the others broke from the chains of fantasy and stated that they felt pain. It was believed that Myssa was manipulating and stealing their souls, therefore the people of Lighthold did not hesitate to bring her to justice. The Lord’s verdict was not needed, she was clearly a thief. They tied her to a column in the central garden and stripped her. Beauty meant nothing now for the wrath soaked eyes of the people. She cried and begged as her skin was peeled off. In order to fully release their hearts, Myssa was burned until there was nothing left but ashes.

There was a moment of relief at first, but more and more people started to claim the presence of pain within them and began to show aggression towards those responsible for Myssa’s execution. The Lord considered this bizarre outburst of rage to be some sort of infection so he exiled all those who felt the pain.
