DAY 18:   MOON
After creating "COLLIDE" for Day 17, I was intrigued by the texture of the moon. I filled most of the page with the moon, exploring craters and plains. I felt something was missing from the image. I thus added an astronaut, helping to convey the scale and grandeur of the moon.

DAY 19:   LOOP
The astronaut, who was still unnamed at this point, returned and started to show his wacky personality. This is actually inspired by the 1946 movie "It's a Wonderful Life". George Bailey mentions how he would throw a lasso around the moon and pull it down for his beau, Mary. Mary later has a caricature of George lassoing the moon.

DAY 20:   SPROUT
On this day, I called this reoccurring character "Space Cadet". The texture of the moon dust took time to create, but I believe it is worth it. Also, the reflection in Space Cadet's helmet was created with four-point perspective, creating a "fish-eye" effect.

DAY 21:   FUZZY
I was uninspired on what to do this day, so I created a fuzzy ball to fulfill the prompt. I explored the craters and moon rocks, and their creation using a dip pen.

DAY 22:   OPEN
The sprout from Day 20 makes a cameo as a story begins to form around Space Cadet. He has a home on this moon, but why is he here? I used the brush on the dark background, but also the door, in order to highlight it.

DAY 23:   LEAK
I refrained from using the brush today. The shadows and Space Cadet's helmet might have benefited from the brush, but I am pleased with the light effect here.

DAY 24:   EXTINCT
The bones are not from any extinct animal, but these are meant to imply an ancient species that lived on the moon. The light effect here used both the brush and the dip pen; the shadows are dynamic because of it.
