Chorun Mugli is a popular musical artist from Arunachal Pradesh, India.

'Tolo Kudu La' meaning "To see above" ,is written in his native language Nyishi. It's his first track from the EP called 'Real'.

The music video is directed by Mridu Mousam Neog via his production house Reelistic Media, starring 2019 Miss Arunachal winner and MTV Supermodel of the year 2021 Winner, Roshni Dada. She’s essaying the role of a wide-eyed wanderer who travels and settles by a bonfire jam.

P R E - P R O D U C T I O N

The concept of the music video was to display a traveler wandering around and traversing through mountains and rivers, just as depicted by the lyrics of the song. The music video was shot near around Guwahati's outskirts. One week prior to the shoot locations were scouted and shots were planned accordingly.

P R O D U C T I O N

The music video was shot within a span of two days. We used the Sony a7iii camera as the main camera and Sony a6300 as the secondary camera, in combination with sigma 28mm f2.0 & Sony 85mm f1.4 lens. For the shots with movement we used the Zhiyun weebill S gimbal, and few shots were captured handheld.

P O S T - P R O D U C T I O N

The post production took around 10 days. Basically I wanted each and every frame of the video to look like a well composed photograph. Every shot has been properly color graded to give a natural, dreamy and happy look.

The first part of the video flows slow. Towards the end the music builds up, so I wanted an element of 'wow' for the viewers to keep them engaged. That is where the transition comes in.

T H E T R A N S I T I O N

I wanted the transition to be seamless and smooth. I wanted it to have a meaning and not just visually appealing. Basically, It depicts the passage of time from day to night as the traveler keeps on hustling through her journey. Hence, the scene changes from sunset to a time lapse of the night sky to a bonfire scene at night.
