I am very grateful to have been able to participate in a very important and crucial project like this one:
"Living Mediterranean Report" published by the Tour du Valat on June 7, 2021.
It is a detailed report on the evolution of the Mediterranean biodiversity since 1993.
This report gives an account of the collapse of biodiversity in the Mediterranean in the last thirty years.
The biodiversity of this very rich region is seriously threatened by climate change and the impact of human activities such as overfishing, the proliferation of dams on rivers, the excessive withdrawal of water resources and the intensification of agricultural practices, among others.
For me this is a crucial document that will allow to report this collapse and act on it. The curve is possible to reverse but we must act now. We must be aware of our real impact on the environment individually but also of the management of public policies and alliances between governments.
