HONEYCOMB PAPER PANEL UNITS
In today's world, where human needs are constantly and rapidly changing, the only thing that is changing is not human needs, but the world itself. The devastating consequences of climate change are being witnessed all over the world. Continental fires, drought, floods, polluted seas and many other negative scenarios have now become the biggest problem of today's people. In addition to all these environmental factors, witnessing one of the biggest migration waves in the history of humanity causes new, environmentally friendly and fast alternatives to be sought in material and space organizations. For this reason, the idea of creating a space out of paper, a recycled and completely recyclable material, was considered as a new design approach as Honeycomb Units within the scope of the project.

The increased strength of the paper as it takes the honeycomb form allows the paper to turn into a carrier material. Panels produced from honeycomb panel corrugated cardboard can be plastered on top of each other and become much more durable. The use of this material, which is used in various fields from furniture production to the transportation solution of heavy loads such as white goods, offers an environmentally friendly solution.

Corrugated cardboards produced with honeycomb panels are produced as 2 and 3 cm thick panels within the scope of the project. They are cut in appropriate forms with the knife die cutters produced for the parts to be used in the project. These cut panels are plastered on top of each other with a thickness of 5, 8 and 10 cm. All prepared parts are packaged to be delivered to the end user. The parts produced for the designed unit space are designed in appropriate dimensions considering both human comfort and transportation. Considering the transportation network, the dimensions to fit the minibuses, one of the last vehicles of the transportation network, were adhered to. In this way, the necessary supply will be easily provided to the end user. Another advantage of the material is that it is light; The light weight of the material provides a more ecological solution during the transportation and installation phase.

Honeycomb Units, which offers a temporary space alternative, has been designed considering many usage scenarios such as city festivals, various shopping and dining experience events, outdoor exhibitions, university events, educational activities, temporary accommodation needs. They can be used as single units in an accommodation usage scenario, or they can be used in a collective usage scenario to be articulated side by side in an unlimited way. These units, which can be easily mounted with the plug-in method without the need for any adhesive or bonding by-products, can be disassembled and stored for reuse.

Considering the outdoor use, a number of design problems have been resolved, taking into account that Honeycomb Units must be resistant to external conditions. Since water resistance will be essential, the panels will be plastered with water-resistant materials. In cases where it needs to be fixed to the ground, the floor gaps on the floor can be filled with filling materials such as stone and soil, and it can be easily fixed to the ground and become more resistant to strong winds. The first precaution of fire hazard, which is a problem for all carrier materials from wood to steel, will definitely be to keep fire away from this material. In order to prevent situations where fire will be a problem, necessary precautions will be taken by covering the material with fire retardant sprays or by having a fire extinguisher.
