COLORED ARTWORKS
all artworks are made by Xaviera Carleonna Sunarto
Like any cliché sayings, life is too boring without colors. Coloring my artworks are one of the things that I consider very challenging. Shifting from a grey or graphite-colored to a very colorful artwork was like hitting myself with a truck. But I stepped out of my comfort zone and tried to challenge myself such as mixing various colors and understanding different color shades and monochromatic theme.
COLORED PENCILS SERIES - HUMAN FACES
Sketchbook: Gramedia Cactus Sketchbook A4, Reeves A3 Sketchbook
Drawing human faces is what I consider my art style or my favorite thing to draw. I find it fascinating studying the details and proportions. At first, when I was sketching those faces, I hesitate my ability when it comes to coloring using colored pencils, because I never learned how to blend or even using the basic techniques. As I was coloring or in the middle of the process, I find it very fun and I enjoyed it and as a result, it was not as bad as what I expected (although I believe there are still plenty of rooms to improve).
