In Wood 1 our final we were assigned to carve a wooden mask of our liking out of bass wood. I decided to create a mask inspired by Japanese Tengu and Oni masks. I also wanted to incorporate techniques learned throughout the course by creating walnut horns by turning them on the lathe and attaching a nose with basic joinery.
