'Morning View'

Shallow Depth of Field used to depict my morning view, and what I would greeted with in the morning.
'White Noise'

Mysterious-like shallow DOF shot to show the chaotic side of my suburban area.
'One Tree Hill'

Long Camera Shot to establish contrast between foreground and background and create connection between One Tree Hill history and history of my own area that I live in.
'Number 19'

Leading lines camera to bottom of the driveway - my house. This shot relates to as a child, I would look back at my house to make sure that I had remembered to shut my garage door, so it brings back a sense of nostalgia for me being older and more responsible.
'Old Brick Wall'

This shot accentuates the aging and oldness of the landscape surrounding my home. These brick walls have stood for an extremely long period of time and represent how things always come to age, but will still hold valuable meaning.
'Hey Neighbour'

This shot once again reestablishes the idea of age overtime. However, more in the sense of other people living within the neighbourhood, and that a lot of our landscape has also aged significantly.
'White Gate'

This white angelic gate is what I would walk past and acknowledge on my way to school as a child, and looks almost angelic, like a door to another universe. Creates a sense of welcoming through the use of framing and contrast with bushes surrounding it.
'Morning Sun'

This shot comes across very angelic, through the light beams shining through the tree leaves, creating a sense of calm and relaxation. A lot of the trees placed within my area are much outgrown, towering over houses, footpaths and sometimes roads, so would often block light out on my walk to school.
'Cornwall Park District School'

This is a school zone sign to signify that my school was around the corner, always bringing me back to the harsh reality of having to enter the school gates at 9am in the morning. Because of COVID, school are currently shut down. The mould on the tree branches in the foreground help to signify that and create a sense of abandonment.
'Cornwall Park Cherry Blossoms'

In contrast, the pink cherry blossoms bring a sense of zen to the viewers. This location is a location that I would visit regularly after school with my grandpa. The cherry blossoms represent life and new adventures, as well as bringing a sense of nostalgia to when I used to lie underneath the trees as a child.
'Home Sweet Home'

As a younger child, this is what I would see from my walk home from school. The low angle shot establishes my much younger days in primary school, with my house towering above me. The blue skies in the background help to represent a sense of relief and calmness, now that I'm back home, as my area that I live in is so warm, calming and relaxing.
'Tawera Road'

The Tawera Road sign helps to reestablish and bring back the whole idea of landscapes ageing overtime. The rustic metal and the peeling paint of the street sign show how although the condition of our area isn't always the cleanest, it holds personal meaning to connection, and will always be a solid representation of the quote that 'home is where the heart is'.
