This work is a simple abstract piece, carved in Maltese Limestone and sanded smooth with sandpaper. When learning sculpture, always start simple, get a feel for the medium and tools. Skill comes with experience and time. Nonetheless, there is beauty to be created even in simple designs. Let your work flow, enjoy each moment as you constantly learn and improve. The biggest emphasis (besides avoiding breaking your finger, with the hammer) should be on perfecting the proportions (the balance between volume and space).
