1. How much do you know about our company?

One of the essential steps while applying for a job is to research well about the company. It is one of the common questions asked to every candidate of any profile. Hence, it is advisable to have a background check of the company you are interviewing for.

Example: While casually browsing through LinkedIn, I came across a job vacancy for a marketing fresher in your company. I checked the profile, and it certainly matched my expectations and taste. After going through your website, I can say that your company is a reputed marketing agency that provides innovative and creative solutions to their clients.
2. Tell me about your career experience?

As a fresher, one can talk about the experiences and knowledge you gained in colleges and institutes. Walk them through the achievements and challenges you faced to run a marketing campaign as your college project. Also, if one has done any internship, it will be an added advantage for the candidate.

Example: Basically, I don't have much experience in marketing. I am good at computers. In my college, I did some digital marketing for some enterprises on a freelance basis. Some of my neighbours, who have established businesses, asked me to create and run a social media campaign. 

I started running Facebook and Google Ads. Remarkably, it was working great and generated few leads for the organisations. Even they rewarded me with some incentives!

Always take a slight pause before answering a technical question. Frame your answer in your mind, and then speak. Also, we recommend you to talk in simple English and never stretch your sentences too long.

4. As a marketer, what are your strengths and weaknesses?

6. What is the importance of social media in digital marketing?

Here you can brief up your answer by talking about social media being the highest appealing mode of entertainment and marketing. We can use social media in digital marketing for promoting our business and campaigns as the audience has made it a vital part of their lives. 

Example: Today, everyone is on social media platforms. To be honest, before coming for this interview, I surfed your organisation on Google. Even I checked your Instagram and Facebook pages to get an idea about your digital marketing strategy. It helps to track the potential customers and understand the trends in the market. 
7. I have a client, and we failed to explain the difference between SEO articles and creative articles. As a digital marketer, how can you explain the difference in simple terms?

It is one of the situational questions that an interviewer might ask to test the candidate's knowledge and IQ (Intelligence Quotient) level. Here, the recruiters are simply asking the difference between SEO and Social Media copies. Please take a deep breath and answer them with a simple note.

Example: SEO articles contain specific keywords or phrases that the users ask multiple times. Google page rankings work on an algorithm of these keywords, for which they scan the most recent and domain authoritative websites to rank on their first page. Hence, articles containing more than 1000 words and the most significant answers to the given keyword will rank top on Google searches.

On the other hand, creative copies and articles are helpful to post on social media handles to generate engagement virtually. It is beneficial for creating awareness and attract potential buyers. We can put our thoughts, discount schemes and create social information campaigns in creative posts.
