Colombian Dream
"Colombian Dream" is a visual autoethnographic piece focusing on culture. I wanted to show my Colombian heritage and talk about how many Hispanics have immigrated to the United States for a better life. Usually, this is referred to as the American dream. To start the project off, I had to interview family members that have gone through this. I then combined these experiences with my own, through my dream of becoming a fashion designer. The girl is a representation of myself and my culture, and the environment is made to look like a runway to portray this dream.
