Just a little preview of visual experimentation for the instrumental rock band from Naples Cassa24, for live sets.
The basic idea of the project is to create an installation for live visuals for live sets of the band that involve each member of the band and each instrument. So the visuals are created in real time by the members of the band itself, and will be post-processed based on the sound, removing every human input directly.
The software is a modified version of Kinect Point Cloud demo in Processing by Daniel Shiffman.
Images are so taken from the Kinect sensor and then passed in Resolume (through Syphon for Processing), that apply filters and post-processing in real time based on the sounds, thanks to Pure Data.

This is only a little preview, the softwares are still in development. The sounds are only for the guitar and the keyboard, so there aren't drums.
