In my Web II class we were given the task to re-design the Central Michigan University Art Department website. The current website was very bland and looked exactly like the rest of the departments. We had to work in groups, and I was in a group with three other girls in my class. We collaborated and brainstormed our ideas, trying to create something new and innovative while staying within the limitations of the CMU web design standards. I stepped up as the leader of the group, and once we decided what we wanted the basic foundation of our website to be, I designed and coded template pages so each team member could easily drop in their information. We wanted to have a personality profile for each department so prospective students could relate to an actual student and current students could find their department easily on the first page.
