Sogno typographic poster

Sogno
typographic poster

In this workshop Ko Sliggers asked us to choose a word that was important to us and to design a poster with it.

My choice was the word "sogno", "dream" in italian, a recurrent topic in my life and work.
Developing the concept for the poster the aim was to communicate the ethereal world of the dream, its shine and attraction, but also the floating sensation typical of the dreaming state.

To achieve the shine and wonder the choice was to write the letters with the light painting technique. Writing in the space with light torches and lighters, and experimenting with different movements, several results were collected. The best ones were then positioned and sized into the poster to visualize the floating sensation and a sort of slow falling in the dark.
