An experimental documentary about fashion flower making, and how to connect this practice to my own as an animator.
Repetition, precision, patience, passion, meticulousness,… are common threads between the worlds of fashion craft and my hand drawn animation.
It is my Royal College of Art 1st year film.
Each screen is a loop of a different duration, the background video is also looping, as well as the soundtrack.
3000 Flowers is meant to be seen as a never ending loop.
To make 3000 Flowers, I first rotoscoped some references videos I shot. I drew everything in TvPaint, then print them out at the scale of 16mm film. I drew all the frames again on the film, took pictures of them on a light pad, and composed them in After Effects.
