PUPPETS FOR MOTION
Here's some intel on how I am arranging the bolts and joints of a figure. Some MDs find it helpful working with DUIK and puppets with real joints. I am creating the body part in one piece and start slicing using the tangent circle tool (a part of of Astutes 'Subscribe' bundle). Once split, I leave a copy of the circle as reference for the animation. The circle aka joint can also be used for steering the figure in Ae. You can see an example of this in the second picture.
