IJM- A Musical Sound Design Album.

This was my pre-graduation project. It is a sound design/music endeavour which identifies musical attributes of recorded incidental sounds of daily life which is then taken advantage of and magnified through manipulation to present musical compositions, exploring the various possibilities of making music from naturally occurring sounds around us.

The project is curated into an album of music made of sounds stemming from the environment of IJM, the township where we, the students of our institute lived. After many rounds of refinements and iterations the album now consists of five tracks and an additional index track, that catalogs the recorded sounds used and aids in comprehending the project.

Each track is also complemented by an illustrated artwork that is an expression of a characteristic element of IJM, that unifies and enhances the connect. Here are the illustrations made for the album followed by the album itself.
