Coneflowers and Their Bees

Coneflowers and the Bees
Coneflowers are a favourite of many native pollinators because they are good sources of pollen and nectar. The flowers also provide a great platform for photographing the bees, allowing for the isolation of the subject from its background as well as giving contrasting colour and form. All of these bees were found in a local Indigenous Medicine Wheel Garden that has a wide variety of both bees and native plants.
