It is also known as the largest bookfair with a average of 2 million foot-fall every year. The event is a hugely popular in Kolkata and West Bengal. It is attended by people from all walks of life and ages. So obviously when I was offered the job to design the main banner, I was absolutely elated. This is the first time that my work would be witnessed by millions of people and all of this was happening while I was still in college.

The concept behind this design came from the idea of a pop-up book. In the above designs, all the famous structures in Kolkata are standing as if they were from a pop-up book. The curved white space below is designed to hit the point home.
