I’ve always been told that you needed to speak up and put yourself out there to matter. I wasn’t so sure how to do that when even the most trivial group discussions and ice breaker activities were absolute nightmares to me. And so, throughout the years, I struggled with feeling like I’m lacking in this one aspect that I just can’t seem to overcome. I kept wondering why it comes so easy for some people and why that’s not the case for me.
But eventually, I figured that you don’t have to be the loudest in the room to be heard or liked by others. Even though we live in a society that favors extroversion, please know that it’s not the only important quality in a person. You have other things to offer, and that’s okay too.
