Reflection in pond
Pool frogs are protected under UK law making it illegal to kill, injure, capture, disturb or sell them, or to damage or destroy their habitats.
It is a UK Biodiversity Action Plan priority species
During winter the Pond frog hibernates on land. Breeding season is much later in the year and coincides with the onset of warm nights in May/June.
