Lightning grows inside the clouds. Flying creatures above and beests down below reveal. It strikes down hard and bright into a crater. Something begins to form.
We wanted to mold a visual film for the new Porsche Taycan. Something electrifying. Something powerful, enough so that it could represent the vehicle itself. We wanted to imagine what the birth of this beautiful electric masterpiece would look like in an alternate world.
The creatures gather in awe as something extraordinary is about to take place. But lighting strikes in a split-second. A fraction of a blink of an eye, moving at the speed of light. This is what we captured.

Case Study
HOW WE MADE IT
From concept to color, this was one of our most complicated projects to pull off.
We loved the experimental nature of this film. One of the most important elements for us was the lightning itself. It’s what creates the Taycan.
We went through different iterations and visual experiments to find and create a unique look and character for the lightning.
As it strikes down and begins to create the Taycan, the beam of light breaks down into different prismatic color spectrums.
We see what the lightning itself is made of when seen up close, and in a diluted time. A single entity moves in a frozen world - light. After different location scouts and concept art explorations, we had found our crater. We then meticulously sculpted and groomed dozens of wildebeests and storks.
The final film is visually not a car spot but in a way an opening scene into a superhero movie.
And that’s what we set out to achieve.
