Giant walnut king bed for private client. The client wanted a bed and sided tables to be produced by Miya Shoji but unfortunately Mr. Shoji was schedule didn't permit him to take on the work. The client ask Geoff Howell Studio to assist in the fabrication of these piece in the style of Miya Shoji. We were able to contact Mr. Shoji directly and he very generously worked with us to simulate his style. He consulted with us on the construction techniques and even sold us the incredible flinch cut walnut panels for the headboard and footboard from his exclusive source. The end result was a truly breathtaking bed and side table set.
