A square into a world of circles
Product design and identity for Rukh, the classic chess game, but with a bold new look. The project started out as a labor of love. This unique design was initially created as a gift for Liviu’s son chess club, and evolved into being the first 3D printed product in our Etsy shop, LAatPlay. The identity distills Rukh's true essence. Bold, but playful at the same time. A square into a world of circles. Modern and minimalistic, but preserving the elegance, simplicity and visual clarity of the classic game.
Rukh, with its beautiful simplicity, is the product of two passions combined: design and 3D printing. What started as play, a tap on the complex world of product design, quickly transformed into an empowering experiment and a beloved product thanks to 3D printing.
