During the horrific Tsunami that hit Japan in 2011, many designers came up with posters and help initiatives to send donations to help the Japanese. I created the following proposal when I worked as an art director in Drive Dentsu Beirut.
BAND-AID:
The idea here is to create a press ad in a magazine with a real 'band-aid' placed on it.
As soon as people remove it, they notice the red circle symbolizing both a wound and the japanese flag.
A simple and witty way to portray the suffering and the need to mend the wounds of Japan.
