Knoll is an American company manufacturing office furniture and equipment. It was founded in 1938 by Hans Knoll, an entrepreneur of German origin. He developed the company into one of the most creative and prolific of the post-war period. He created a "Knoll style" and imposed his vision of furnishing through the Planning Unit, a unique service of its kind for the time, combining interior architecture, design, production, textiles and graphics.
