Concept

"Thap Nhi Duoc Xoa Than Tuong" là một đề tài liên quan đến văn hoá và tín ngưỡng. Trong tiềm thức của nhiều người, đều có những đức tin, những vị thần, hiện thân muôn hình muôn vẻ. Mỗi một đức tin đều có ý nghĩa riêng, nhưng chung quy tất cả đều hướng đến sự thiện lành và tốt đẹp.

(藥師十二神將): Dược Xoa Thập Nhị Thần Tướng (Tên Anh: Twelve Heavenly Yaksha Generals), Dược xoa còn được dịch là Dạ xoa (夜叉; tiếng Phạn: yakṣa; tiếng Pali: yakkha), ở đây chính là chỉ những vị thiện Dạ xoa, có lòng nhiệt thành hộ pháp (hộ mệnh). Mỗi vị còn là hiện thân, tương trưng cho 12 đức hạnh và hạnh nguyện của Đức Phật Dược Sư (tiếng Phạn: Bhaisajyaguru – tiếng Anh: Medicine Buddha). Mỗi vị còn là thần hộ mệnh cho từng con giáp, với tên goi và hình thái khác nhau.

"Twelve Heavenly Yaksha Generals" is a topic related to culture and beliefs. In the subconscious of many people, there are beliefs, gods, and incarnations of various shapes and sizes. Each faith has its own meaning, but in general, all are directed to goodness.

(藥師十二神將): Yaksha Twelve Heavenly Generals (English name: Twelve Heavenly Yaksha Generals), Yaksha is also translated as Yaksha (夜叉; Sanskrit: yakṣa; Pali: Palyakkha), here only those who are good Yaksha, who have zeal to protect the Dharma (protection). Each of them is also an embodiment, representing the 12 virtues and vows of the Medicine Buddha (Sanskrit: Bhaisajyaguru – English: Medicine Buddha). Each of them is the guardian god for each animal, with different names and forms.

Sketch

Sketch thumbnail giúp mình có cái nhìn tổng quan về bố cục cũng như sắp xếp được ý đồ thiết kế, trước khi bước vào những phần chính của project. Bên cạnh việc quản lý được nhiệp điệu của tranh, làm rõ chính phụ, việc phác thảo là một phần không thể thiếu để note nhanh lại ý tưởng và ghi chú, tránh việc gián đoạn trong lúc thực hiện. Mình sử dụng ruột chì màu để tranh được sạch và việc vẽ tranh sẽ trông gọn gàng và dễ nhìn hơn. Vì mình là người khá kĩ tính trong lúc vẽ tranh, kể cả phần sketch nên mình cố gắng phát thảo ở mức kĩ nhất, vì đơn giản mình nghĩ việc này giúp mình tiết kiệm được thời gian ở bước Line.

Before diving into the meat of the project, I use a sketch thumbnail to get a sense of the layout and organize the design objective. Beside maintaining the picture's rhythm and identifying the primary side, sketching is an essential component of the process for swiftly noting down ideas and taking notes while avoiding disruptions during implementation. I use crayons to tidy up the artwork and make it look neater and easier to see. Because I'm a rather precise person when it comes to drawing things, including sketching, I try to sketch as thoroughly as possible because I believe it saves me time in the Line step.
