A piece for a gallery show based on the Decameron. This story was about a smart man that relentlessly pursued a beautiful woman to marry him and in the end his ambitions killed her. 

This was the intial sketch, a lot of times I end up liking these better than the final paintings. It was important for everything in the painting to push the viewer's eye to the rabbit to get across the feeling of fear.
