Thirty minutes west from the bustling, old port city of Mystic, lies a small town bursting with seaside New England charm. Niantic, a village of the larger town of East Lyme, is an idyllic destination that sits right on top of the Long Island Sound, accessible by two beaches on either end of the village's mile-long boardwalk.

When I went there in January, however, it was much too cold to be outside for long. My girlfriend and I spent hours exploring many of the record stores and thrift shops that line the main thoroughfare; I have photos from those as well, and will post them soon. For now though, enjoy this short view of Main Street.
