This publication design focuses on creating visual contrast through using two different font sizes and colors, and a variety of weights. It also focuses on creating rhythm by arranging contents according to subtle patterns and surprise factors. The typeface for the titles and the cover page is Frutiger, and the body texts is Garamond.
The contents and images were provided from DES115 professor and the original designs are the layouts, colors, and designs.
This project allowed me to ponder over how I could effectively arrange the given contents with the restrictions like page length and color choices. The biggest struggle while completing this project was creating patterns throughout the publication, while preventing it from having a boring design. However, I learned so much more about creating interesting flow of the overall publication and putting together different pages into a whole collaboration.
