In this project I created riddle pop-up modules for hilarious translation fails in China, the idea is derived from some amusing and baffling Chinese-to-English translation signs I saw in my daily life and on the Internet. Taking inspiration from Duncan Birmingham’s pop-up book tutorial, I created 4 pop-up modules according to the 4 funny translation fails I chose. Each module has 2 images, the audience can only see the illustration of the wrong translation and the Chinglish translation given below. When they pull the tab, they can check the correct English translation.
Can you guess the correct meaning 😉 ?
