TABC Regulation: By The Numbers
The Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission is the sole regulator of a growing alcoholic beverage industry in the state, and the agency works each day to protect communities and help businesses.
This document was created to quickly explain TABC’s role to members of the Texas Legislature.
We designed this document to stand out from other printed handouts legislators often receive. Still, we didn't want it to be overwhelming, so we broke up the information into pieces where we could use icons or highlight certain important numbers, to break out important details.
The front page covers the size of the alcoholic beverage industry, the scope of TABC and how much revenue the agency collects for Texas.
The back page of the document is more number-heavy, and highlights TABC’s role in combating human trafficking and organized crime. We redesigned the regional map of Texas to help show where crimes are occurring and how TABC is taking actions against businesses that are involved in it.
