Demos Argyros serves as managing director of investments at Oppenheimer & Co., Inc., in St. Louis. He has over 30 years of experience in the financial services industry. Outside of his professional responsibilities, Demos Argyros gives back to the community through a number of different organizations. He serves on the board of directors of genHkids, a nonprofit that helps get youth moving more and eating better.

To achieve its goals, genHkids has developed several different programs, many of which focus on eating whole foods. These programs address potential issues at both home and school. Destination Dinner Table works with genHkids families to teach them how to cook from scratch on a budget and with limited time while Eat Real at School works with schools to help develop healthier menus and provide educational posters about making good choices.

In addition, genHkids has developed a 9-month educational series for elementary students called Roadmap to a 100 Year Heart. This curriculum discusses not just how to have a healthy lifestyle, but also why. Finally, the organization also helps children learn how to plant and harvest their own produce using school and community gardens through a program called Grow Your Grub.
