Every year in Colorado, a great migration occurs; the flight of the miller moth’s.  This quarter sized insect emerges once a year in June amid the the eastern plains.  There is, however, one problem, to get to their food of choice high up in the Rocky Mountains, they must take the perilous journey through the cities that obstruct their path.  For the many inhabitants of Colorado Springs, this yearly invasion has become a sacrificial ceremony.
The mountains have become a refuge for these creatures, who’s breeding grounds have been slowly stolen.  Yet it is not only a refuge for animals, but also for the many people of different cultural, ethnic, and sexual identities to find expression, far from the constructs of organized society.
