The summer can be magical anywhere but Utrecht, a city in the Netherlands, surrounded by the canals is particularly special. A delight for a wandering eye. Narrow streets filled with charm, with the old and the new forming a unique kind of harmony.

This is the city where I live now and which mesmerises me every day. I wanted to capture it still, in the summer evening when the buzz has lifted from the streets and the heat is lingering in the air, echoing the energy that has swept through each inch of the city during the day. 

If a daytime was a yoga sequence in Utrecht, an evening time would be a shavasana. 

9:00 PM Tuesday in Utrecht. 

After a busy day, the city is still and you can fully take in the vibrancy of the days that pass here. Buzzing with life, with the young and the old, going out into the streets and enjoying life Mediterranean style, brining tables and chairs into the streets, the wine and the food, taking a boat or a canoe ride, it is one of the most romantic and friendly cities I've visited, let alone lived in, and I feel so lucky to be here.
