For Typography I final term I had to design a monogram & with it
a visual identity that included designing a visiting card, letterhead,
envelope, monogram with different color variation & a basic logo animation.
The final project can be broken into two parts, first part included designing
letterform of my name's initial from basic shapes i.e Square, Rectangle, Circle
& Triangle. For each shape we had to make six sketches of our initial, each

differing from one another. After that the best one was chosen from each shape,
then the final four were to be vectorized in Adobe Illustrator.

so I chose that. The Letterform I chose is quite energetic & has a sporty look to
it, so I thought of adding a shoe somehow within the confinements of the letterform
but as I kept adjusting, the shoe transformed into the letter "S" while also
retaining the appearance of a shoe.
My next task was coming up with a name and a color scheme that went along
with this sporty monogram. I came up with the name "Zazzy Streaks", Zazzy means
flashy & shiny; something I feel sports brands do tend to be at times & streaks has
more to do with speed. With the name decided, now came the color scheme, the first
color to come in my mind was Orange since it evokes the feeling of energy but I also
had come up with other colors that could go with it, so I chose purple & pink. The overall color scheme gave quite a flashy and energetic look that I wanted to portray.
This has to be my favorite project I've done this entire 3rd semester.

I learned a lot & truly enjoyed the process of it all. I hope I get to do
more of these projects in the future.
