Meta Modular
Meta Modular is a modular typeface with the construction of shapes and modules.
“This idea of impermanence and movability originating in Metabolism’s concept of the city influenced every step of the design and construction of Nakagin Capsule Tower. According to their different “metabolic cycles,” Kurokawa configured the building with three basic components: the permanent structure (two ferroconcrete shafts), the moveable elements (144 capsules), and the service equipment (utilities).”
“Kurokawa regarded this incomplete look as the “aesthetic of time,” referring to Metabolism’s central notion of the city as process.”

“A communication is an assembly of units, and a unit is an assembly of nuclei.”
— Wim Crouwel, Type Design for the Computer Age

“Each capsule was assembled off-site and then attached to a concrete pillar so each one can be removed without affecting the others.”
