On August 6, 1945, the United States Military dropped the atomic Bomb Little Boy on the Japanese city of Hiroshima, killing upwards of 126,000 Japanese civilians. Then, just three days later, a second bomb, known as Fat Man was dropped on the predominately civilian city of Nagasaki, killing another 40,000 to 80,000 people.

Here, the scars of survivor Senji Yamaguchi meld with the rubble of Hiroshima, and the paths of the rivers blend with his skin. The destruction brought by the atomic bomb forever will be part of Senji Yamaguchi, and will forever be a horrific part of human history that must never be forgotten.
