Outstanding in His Field | a limited edition hand pulled silkscreen printed portrait of my grandfather, March 2021. Color separated into CMYK and with halftone line screens, I made this print as a demonstration for my silkscreen class. I ended up not printing the black screen as I liked the warmth of just the cyan, magenta, and yellow ink.
Yellow and Magenta inks printed at 0º and 75º line screens, which create orange in the overlap.
Cyan ink added with line screens at 15º to flesh out the blues, greens, purples and browns.

The cyan screen blew out a bit in the shadow, and broke up at the top of the image.
