An infiltrometer is a scientific device used to measure the rate of infiltration in soil. The above images show a double ring infiltrometer which requires one inner and one outer ring. The mai goal is to create a 1D flow of water from the inner ring. This device is most used by pedologists and agricultural engineers. This infiltrometer was designed using custom made acrylic tubes, an acrylic block designed with CNC, stainless steel metal rings, and medical-grade rubber tops. This infiltrometer was designed by Henry Sneyder Neira Liscano for the Centro para la Investigación en Sistemas Sostenibles de Producción Agropecuaria.
