INSIDE THE BIGGEST RACE COURSE IN INDIA
Founded in 1847, RCTC became the premier horse racing organization in India during the British Raj. Despite the vigorous efforts of the jockeys, trainers and caretakers, the sport is under a poor reputation for gambling and has thus experienced a gradual decline in popularity. The photos not only give an insight into the management of the racecourse but also is an attempt to make the public more aware about the sport and get the recognition it deserves.
