Who would have thought you could build a restaurant out of the same thing that you would be eating in the restaurant. Bamboo has been used in traditional Asian cuisine for 1000s of years. It is a tasty crunchy vegetable. But bamboo is much more than just a food. It can be used as a vessel for steaming, a utensil for eating, or the chair you sit on while eating. Through the brief Food for Thought, the potentials of bamboo
are explored.

I have designed a booklet that explains the vision and identity of a hypothetical restaurant named Hungry Panda, referencing the panda’s passion for bamboo. Bamboo is promoted as a delicious food and a versatile material used in architecture, decor, and utensils. Its sustainable qualities and versatility as well as its historical origins have inspired the design and production of the booklet.
