Buena Vista Social Club Poster
The Gig poster is about conveying the feeling of music without necessarily showing an instrument, music notes, or a dancing and singing person. It’s about showing the feeling of a sound and the movement of a sound, all while promoting the performer.
Once the idea turned towards being about what music does: make people dance, enjoy themselves and have fun. My ideas became more abstract and rewarding. The idea of dancing feet came from the desire to dance that the music seems to induce. The placement of the feet was key in reflecting the movement, rhythm and joyfulness that Buena Vista Social Club’s music can give a person.
